Should I Climb Everest in March?

Just the base camp — not the summit. Shall we?

But the base camp itself is a 7-day climb. That’s after flying into Lukla, which at 9,500 ft elevation and 1 crash per 1,000 flights is the most dangerous airport in the world.

But when am I going to be here again, with two new friends who are as adventurous as myself, who love Jesus, who share my joy for sucking the marrow out of life?

The three of us cluster around a table and 3 laptops as I type. Marnold and Hayden are researching, I’m budgeting. We’re conditioning and then trekking for the next several months anyway & don’t know when we’ll be back here – may as well hit the behemoth Sagarmatha. we’ll see.
